In addition to commissioned artworks, I also work on various other custom projects. From logos and illustrations to hand-painted objects (eg. surfboards) and illustrations on clothing, such as a unique T-shirt. But also a personal card set, wallpaper or a mural are among the possibilities. Each design is a creative collaboration in which my style and signature are central. The possibilities are wide, but one thing always remains the same: each design is created with care and attention, completely tailored to your wishes. Below you will find a number of examples of projects carried out by me. There are a few projects I'd like to highlight in particular. You can find them here.

CUSTOM SURFBOARD

Ragnar had a clear wish. It had to be something with a sperm whale, related to the unfortunately still ongoing whaling. A mean sperm whale with humor!

A few test sketches went back and forth and suddenly it was a hit!

Cachalote is his name! I drew the drawing by hand and then digitalized it. Peter then sent it to Boardlams and it was printed on fiberglass in California and eventually incorporated into Ragnar's board.

2024 · LOGO ILLUSTRATIE

Een van de eerste projecten van 2024, was een op maat gemaakt logo voor een coachingspraktijk.

Tamara kwam naar me toe nadat ze was geïnspireerd door mijn verjaardagskalender en vroeg me om haar te helpen haar eigen idee te visualiseren. We hadden een kop koffie en een goed diepgaand gesprek en een paar weken later was haar logo geboren. Hét startpunt van haar bedrijf.

Haar website is nu af en je kunt daar haar verhaal lezen. Het is geweldig om deel uit te maken van zo'n persoonlijk verhaal over iemands leven!

Illustrating a Jugendstil window display for Wwen. Wwen was a sustainable store in the city centre of The Hague (Prinsestraat). Over 20 years!
Congratulations to this wonderful entrepreneur; what an amazing inspiring soul she is!

…..Although I know a lot about digital printing… The white and gold is hand drawn by myself - no stickers were used 😉. I think it’s great ‘Oldskool’.

This is a drawing for a new record. I was asked to make the first story (1/9) and 2/9 is in the works. This record is about a man looking back on the man he used to be. Full power….I had the privilege to receive and listen to the song before it was released. It is now available on Spotify ‘hot off the press’ 💿🎶✨ (the next two are currently in the works).

CUSTOM SURFBOARD

I was asked to make it personal and I did. The custom board is for Felte, a young, cheerful surfer from Germany, who works at a surf school in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

He wanted a whale shark and also some of my jellyfish 🪼. The drawings were first drawn on paper with ink pen and then digitized in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Then Peter (from Pete's Surfboards) sent it to Boardlams and it was printed on fiberglass in California and finally incorporated into Fetle's board.

ART Shirt

PHOTOGRAPHER • special request

One request leads to another… and it all flows like life does…
I met @coral.iam about 10 years ago in Santa Cruz (Portugal). We clicked right away and thanks to social media we still keep in touch.
When she saw one of the t-shirts I made she requested one for her own wedding photographer @renatoribeirophotography.
He did an amazing job capturing their love. @coral.iam and @_.gilsilva._
I wish you all the best in your marriage and I am happy that my art has flown to Portugal for yet another time - I hope there will be many more to come.

LESSONUP event

For a while now I have been working as a Partnership Manager for LessonUp. A really fun job at a scale-up. I have a lot of freedom in how I do my work. Every day I speak to all kinds of great organizations and museums that use or want to use our online platform. All this to help education make teaching more fun and better. All this to say... we organized an event for our partners and teachers and I designed the invitation for the card and the digital mailing. As always, I first made the drawing with an ink pen on paper and then digitalized it, so that I could edit it in different color schemes and sizes.

TATTOO DRAWING

This was a challenge for several reasons! I will list three below…

1. First request for a custom tattoo design
2. An ‘animal’ outside of my comfort zone 🐉
3. Different styles came with the request

I am super happy with the result, especially since I was so afraid of failing. And guess what… it got approved!!! I am so happy! Definitely 💯 worth stepping out of my comfort zone!
