Flatbook and card deck Scènes van de Zee

On December 8th 2024, the launch of Scenes from the Sea took place in the Oude Kerk in Scheveningen. I was privileged to design the book, card deck and box, with the aim of preparing the poetry and blueprints in the best possible way for printing on different substrates. With my background in the digital printing industry, I knew that I was embarking on a tough challenge, yet one I wanted to take on with love! 

It was a special journey to work with Esther van Haren and bring her beautiful words and images to life in this project. We started on a rainy day in the autumn of 2022 and I sent the last print-ready files to Esther at the end of August this year.

The works could be viewed in real life until the end of 2024; Keizerstraat 112. The exhibition has been extended until further notice and the works are still for sale!
