Between 1968 and 1972, the harbor heads of the outer harbor were extended: the southern head by 730 meters; the northern head by 580 meters.
I like to walk all the way to the end and then make a loop around the tower. Sometimes I pause for a moment or sit down. When a strong storm is raging, depending on the wind direction you can take perfect shelter and gaze out at the sea for a while. It’s also wonderful when the sun is shining, watching the boats sailing in and out. It’s different every time. When I walk the loop, the view of Scheveningen is always renewed. It’s as if you step into a different timeline. This doesn’t happen when I simply turn around ;). Pay attention to it next time if you also walk here occasionally, I'm curious what you experience.
