July opens her golden arms, and there she is: Miss Sunshine.
In this hybernate summer state, the world slows down.
Clocks seem to tick lazily, thoughts grow softer, lighter.
We drift away in hammocks of warmth, dreaming half-awake under a blanket of sun and cicada songs.
For a while, life doesn’t have to move forward; it may simply linger between now and later.
July is a month of light, warmth, and calm,
a month in which Miss Sunshine melts our worries into dew,
and together we sink into the blissful, drowsy summer dream.

Starting with a circle and returning to the core: my feeling. Miss Sunshine became part of the whole.
Every month, I dream away anew, and then firmly return to earth. That is also what happens to me when I draw.
With a smile, and sometimes a tear.
The circle is a primal symbol, an abstract archetype. It is not only of practical meaning,
but also carries a profound spiritual significance.
A symbol is a way to tell a lot through an image, an image that—through its universal meaning,
stored in our collective consciousness—is understood by many, and thus becomes an important part of our communication.
The circle has a double meaning that can also be seen as one.
The circle: without beginning, without end, infinite, everlasting, all-embracing, the cosmos, the macrocosm—
and at the same time, it is a symbol of you, the reflection of that ‘all’ within yourself.
Because you are the one who perceives everything, you are the creator of your world, your truth, of what you see and experience.
A dear friend said, “I just had to come to you.” I found this very touching,
and so I wanted to create a unique and special calendar with new drawings that fit the months of the year.
Hand-drawn illustrations, manually digitized and printed on recycled paper;
this is the ‘Miss Sunshine Birthday Calendar’.
