This drawing symbolizes a heart (the theme of the exhibition for which I created this drawing) and a tree—this tree stands opposite Stowe Barton, a National Trust property in the UK. A magical place where, in the summer of 2022, I first stopped and walked in, only to walk out with a new, beautiful connection and a belly board.


Then a special collaboration developed between a woodworker and an illustrator—a true "meet-cute" that resulted in something beautiful. Banyan Woodwork created these beautiful belly boards, and I had the privilege of drawing two-thirds of the design. It's a unique work of art that will travel the world—stay tuned! The first third consists of prints of some of my illustrations, and the third is handmade by Andy himself.


This is all part of Cruel and Curious, a small-scale art event that took place in the beautiful surroundings of Stowe Barton, a National Trust property in the UK. I'm thrilled with this collaboration and feel blessed to be part of this special project. 🙏🏻💙🇬🇧
