Bob Marley already sang it: "One love, one heart, let’s get together and feel all right." His music was a call for unity, for love, for a world without hate.
When I am drawing, I feel peaceful. The world falls silent, my hand follows the lines, and something is created that previously only existed in my thoughts. Yet the time before I finally feel space and inspiration to start can be restless. Sometimes I have to search, wait, wander in my own thoughts or just outside in nature. As soon as the first line is on paper, peace returns.
Peace begins within ourselves. In the stillness with which we hold a brush, in the harmony of a melody, in the moments when we come together without judgment.
As Bob Marley taught us, peace is not a dream, it is a choice. A choice we can make every day, in our art, in our music, and in the way we treat each other.
