In September 2023, I had the opportunity to participate in a unique project on the campsite called ‘Artist in Caravan’. The initiative was designed to bring artists into contact with the campers, allowing for a creative exchange. It was the end of the season, and you could feel it everywhere. What an extraordinary moment to be there!

The greatest stroke of luck was that many of the small huts, built by campers themselves, were empty. This allowed me the freedom to wander around, take photos, and truly take the time to observe the space. Each hut told its own story, and the longer I looked, the more I found myself imagining the lives that had unfolded within these tiny structures.

The empty huts didn’t feel abandoned, but rather like quiet witnesses to many seasons, conversations, and memories. Each one seemed to have its own tale to tell, and it was a joy to capture those stories. In the endless variety of colors, shapes, and materials, I sensed a connection between the huts, as if they were part of one big, happy family.

I decided to present this 'family' of huts in a series of eight photographs. These images create a visual narrative of the feeling I experienced: a place where time seems to stand still, yet carries with it so many stories. Every hut, every stone in the landscape, holds a piece of history and a piece of the future.

The drawings I made are a tribute to the moments of quiet reflection that the end of the season brings. A way of showing the connection between these temporary 'homes', which will forever have a place in my memories.

A special collaboration between a woodworker and an illustrator – a true ‘meet-cute’ that blossomed into something beautiful. This year’s theme was "Heart"! Banyan Woodwork created these stunning belly boards, and I had the privilege of drawing 2/3 of the design. It’s a unique piece that will travel the world – stay tuned! One-third of it features prints of some of my illustrations, while the final third was crafted by Andy himself.

This is all part of Cruel and Curious, an intimate art event held at the stunning Stowe Barton, a National Trust location in the UK. I’m beyond excited about this collaboration and feel so blessed to be a part of this special project. 🙏🏻💙🇬🇧

It was a truly special experience to have my work displayed in the window of Goedman Art Supplies for a month. As an artist, it’s always exciting to share your work in public, but this opportunity felt truly unique. Every morning, I would stop by the window and watch as people curiously looked at my pieces, often stopping to ask questions or start a conversation. It was amazing to see my creations not just in a gallery, but right in the heart of daily life.

Having my work displayed this way brought me much closer to the people who might never have encountered it otherwise. It also gave me a new perspective on my art, helping me to place it in a broader context.

I’m incredibly grateful to Goedman Art Supplies for giving me this opportunity. It’s an experience that has enriched me not only as an artist, but as a person as well.
