Mijn hart is mijn kompas. Ik word weleens terug gefloten door 'het universum'. Dan val ik bijvoorbeeld hard van mijn fiets op glad ijs, of stoot ik mijn hoofd keihard tegen een balk, letterlijk! De pijn op zo'n moment gaat door merg en been, maar ik adem.
 
Ik sta op en realiseer mij dat ik weer een tijdje door bleef gaan alsof ik nog steeds Miss Sunshine ben en geen verdriet of pijn met mij meedraag, alsof het er niet mag zijn. Maar dan komt het ineens met golven tranen en kan ik niet anders dan het er laten zijn. 
 
Het mooie van zo'n moment is dat het vaak een moment van groei is (al is dat in het moment zelf moeilijk te geloven haha). Ik heb geleerd meer rust te nemen na zo'n moment en voel dan goed wat de dingen zijn in het leven die ik echt graag wil en vraag me af hoe ik die ga bereiken en wat mij tegenhoudt. Ik ga de natuur in, dicht of in de zee, zoveel mogelijk.
Het gevoel is er en mag er zijn. Recht uit het hart doe ik de dingen die ik doe, zeker niet perfect, maar altijd met veel gevoel. Dan komt er vaak een moment dat ik ineens hard moet lachen om iets onbenulligs en weet ik 'ah, ik ben er weer!'. Door naar een volgend hoofstuk in mijn boek van het leven, met een grote lach en soms dikke tranen. 
 
Een muziekstuk "Sit around the fire" van John Hopkins wat mij erg aanspreekt heeft de volgende tekst:

The confusion is saying
"I don't know"
But the minute you are quiet
You find out that in truth you do know
For in you, you know
Plane after plane will open to you

As if in each of us

There seem as if there are only ashes now
But when we dig in the ashes
We find one ember
And very gently we fan that ember

That though we've lived our life totally involved in the world
