Ben je op zoek naar iets unieks en exclusiefs? Een custom kunstwerk is de perfecte manier om iets heel persoonlijks in je huis te brengen.
Hoe werkt het? Nadat je contact met me hebt opgenomen, bespreken we samen jouw wensen. Ik werk met een zekere vrijheid in mijn stijl, zodat het kunstwerk jouw verhaal weerspiegelt en tegelijkertijd mijn handtekening draagt.
Na ons gesprek maak ik een of meer schetsen, waar je feedback op kunt geven. Daarna werk ik het kunstwerk verder uit.
Op deze pagina zie je kunstwerken die ik in opdracht heb gemaakt. Elk werk is speciaal ontworpen met de persoonlijke wensen en voorkeuren van de opdrachtgever in gedachten. Elk kunstwerk is exclusief; er is er maar één van!
2024 - Vrijheid in de universele ruimte
Bert had wanted ‘something of my work’ for a while, he said. I ran into him at my parents’ house where we both happened to be at the same time and I was drawing a door. He said… ‘if I want something, I would like the girl, just the girl (Miss Sunshine) and then a door to the left of the middle and of course organic shapes and the sea. His wife Monique had given me an image that I had drawn earlier as a reference that she liked and so it happened.

2022 - Luna
Luna, my cousin's Ridgeback in the sunny hills of California. My beloved second home with my family there. And always surrounded by animals. My cousin and her family live in the hills behind Santa Cruz and you are in the middle of nature there. I always find peace there and the family and the dogs always bring life. Dear Luna, so beautiful big, warm, playful and tender at the same time!

2021 - Zee van liefde
Edward and his girls wanted to surprise grandma (and themselves) with a drawing for her 90th birthday.
They were very clear about what was allowed and what was not. The sun, the sea, ‘something from Scheveningen’ and if possible that they recognize themselves in it, with something that ‘suits’ them. Oh yes and eh… Please wear swimming trunks/bikini.

2024 - Familie Sandt
Ine will be 80 next year, 'but not yet Marleen!' I would like a gift that the family stands for, for a nice spot in the kitchen. We (Theo and I) walked around the campsite where they have a permanent spot and are closer to the sea and their daughters. He told me about their lives and that's how I got the right feeling for this drawing.

2024 - Grietje
Grietje hired me at LessonUp in 2023 and helped me to be myself. An amazing person, always on top of her game and ready to fly!
She left the company in 2024. I felt privileged to make a drawing for her farewell book. I love the job I have at LessonUp…. And also the balance I have found to keep creating my art and being able to work from different places ;).

2022 - Cachalote - potvis
Ragnar had a clear wish. It had to be something with a sperm whale, related to the unfortunately still ongoing whaling. A mean sperm whale with humor!
A few test sketches went back and forth and suddenly it was a hit!
Cachalote is his name! I drew the drawing by hand and then digitalized it.

2021 - Berglucht • want in de bergen krijgen we rust
My dear cousin wanted a drawing for herself and her family for the kitchen on the mantelpiece. ‘It would be nice if the drawing could stand on its own, but I think canvas is too ‘coarse’. I’m growing my hair so I want long hair 😁💃. And the dog’s ears are so cute so they can be on there too 🥰🐾 otherwise I give you all the freedom.’

2024 - Reinout
Curator of the Breda Photo Festival retires after many years of loyal service. I met him during the period when I worked for Big Impact and the digital prints were made there. When I moved to Oosterhout, Reinout recruited me for a volunteer position for the Talent Program. A very nice and beautiful experience. Unfortunately, I could no longer combine it when I moved to Scheveningen in 2019. Reinout's farewell took place in 2024 and we were asked to send a souvenir. With love!

2021 - Kolibriesje • the wind that blows in my mind through love
Dear Michelle was very enthusiastic from the moment I started drawing again. My work appealed to her and their interior was going to get a makeover, where one of my works could be hung. On a trip with her family and me to the Ardennes, we looked at my latest work and the black crow was a favourite. Michelle has a special bond with Curacao and especially her deceased mother in combination with a hummingbird was spontaneously mentioned. I drew this at a good feeling moment. Together we looked for a suitable frame at Goedman Lijstenmakers in The Hague in the autumn. Non-reflective art glass and neat in the frame, like a box. It has become a beautiful work of art. Thank you dear friend!

2022 - Better together
Tony and Sarah, my dear neighbours. They came to the Netherlands and wanted to see a lot of Europe. Covid started and that plan fell apart. They became friends and during Covid time walked a lot with Sarah and often had brunch with Tony on Sundays.
A ‘friendsgiving’ every year. When I started drawing again in 2021, they were a huge support to persevere. Together we talked a lot about ‘artful living’ and that is something we share and is about more than making art.
Just before they told me that they would go back to the USA to start their dream plan (their own organic farm), they gave me an assignment for a painting, in addition to a series of drawings. I was given complete freedom and could only think and feel in color and a heart.
I am very grateful that I was allowed to make this assignment and also for the friendship that I feel even from a distance.

TOMMY
A personalized T-shirt for Tommy. His name is incorporated into the straps, as if he is wearing a real camera. The idea came from the client after seeing the drawing of the camera. Cool, huh?!

Voor mijn lieve tante Ineke in Californie. Mijn nichtjes bestelden deze voor haar verjaardag. Op de tekening zie je de zon en zitten mijn oom en tante daarvan te genieten. Nu mijn oom er niet meer is besef ik eens te meer met wat voor unieke tas mijn tante rond mag lopen ;).
Deze tas is gemaakt ism Atelier Sand. Ik maakte de illustratie en zij maakt er vervolgens een passende tas van met prachtig dik rood leer.

2021 - Bakfiets journey door Scheveningen
Nora and Luuk moved from Utrecht to Scheveningen. On a sunny morning I was just walking out of my street and spotted the two with a cargo bike. Luuk behind the wheel and Nora in the box. I thought this was such a beautiful image that I captured it for them on paper. They later had the drawing framed by Goedman Lijstenmakers. Beautiful!

2021 - Crabby Holidays
Nora asked me to make a drawing and have it printed into cards. She wanted to send people a personal card this year now that they had moved and knew immediately that it had to be with a crab. Such a nice animal! I immediately had an image and here is ‘Crabby Holidays’.

2023 - DRAGON (PH)light
When I was teaching group 6 at a primary school again, it was not an easy time. I did my best, maybe even too much. We called the group ‘the lions’ and before the Christmas holidays I gave the children a thank you card with a lion to take home. One of the girls in the class was very sensitive and her parents also really appreciated the drawing. The question came via mother, whether I could also draw a tattoo drawing? Yes of course! I would like that. Koos had already had a drawing made before, but it had ended up on the wall. I made this drawing with a lot of love. According to Koos' wishes. I like the stars that also represent unborn children the most.
When Koos finally went to the tattoo artist with my drawing, it unfortunately turned out that there were too many details in it. Well,....still, he now has a beautiful drawing on the wall.

2024 - Esther, Scènes van de Zee
Together with Esther I made a special journey. I was commissioned to design her book and card deck ‘Scenes of the Sea’. A journey that lasted over two years with a beautiful result. With this drawing I thank her for the assignment and wish her all the best now that the Scenes are literally flying into the world.

2021 - vierluik
This was my first 'custom drawing'. Jeroen wanted four different drawings for above the dining table, which would still form a whole together. 'I would like to incorporate the following elements if possible; the girls, peace (we live at Vredesplein), skate and buttocks and not to forget; Croatia'. Somewhat tense, I locked myself up for a weekend and with the right atmosphere I finished this and a few days later handed it over in Eindhoven and hung it up. Fortunately, all three of them were very happy. That finally took away my tension and Jeroen; have fun with these works and thanks for the trust!

2022 - Roodborst vooruit
Commissioned drawing of ‘him and her’. The drawings will be placed in the second house of two lovely people who found love together at a later age. This house is located in the middle of the woods where many birds and squirrels can be seen. They wanted to bring this beauty inside. Or Kees, because he is the client in this case. He is naughty and sometimes grumpy and she is always positive with her chest out, stable.
