Karma is the sum of all personal, good and bad deeds and thoughts during earthly existence. The word originates from Sanskrit and means “action” or “deed.” In connection with the Hindu doctrine of reincarnation, karma determines the state in which a person will be reborn.

The chameleon spirit animal is one of the oldest totem animals. This spirit animal represents the need for change. In addition, chameleons carry many totem messages that are very important for chameleon people. Chameleons can also camouflage and hide from their enemies. They are pure predators, capable of remaining perfectly still for long periods while waiting to catch their prey.

Did you know…

  • There are more than 200 species of chameleons.
  • The crystals in a chameleon’s skin change depending on the light falling on them.
  • Contrary to popular belief, chameleons do not take the color of the surface they are on. They change color to camouflage themselves from predators or according to their mood.
  • A chameleon has one of the longest tongues in the world.
  • Its tongue is coated with sticky mucus, allowing it to “grab” its prey.
  • The chameleon’s swaying walk imitates a wobbling leaf, tricking both prey and predators.
